What can I do to help?

How can you help? We are so glad you asked! Since we are just getting started here, there is a lot to be done. At the moment getting in contact with everyone is our biggest problem. We simply don't have current contact information for most people. The best thing you can do is encourage any other SSA-ers to fill out the "submit contact information" form. If you would like to get more involved, here are some of our major needs, and some positions we will need to fill in the future...

News Bits Writers

We will need people to supply news stories for our website as well as photos. Since we want to keep people coming back to our new Cyber-Scholastica Home, we need to keep the information interesting. Writing up features on alumnae, schools, etc. would be a great way to do this. And, unfortunately, the webmasters simply don't have the time.

Alumnae Network Organizers

People interested in doing this would be in charge of, well, really defining the role and format of this network. Putting mentors alumnae in contact with students/young alumnae, maybe arranging volunteer activities, etc. Please see "Networking" (left menu) for ideas on the subject.

Assistant Webmaster

The current webmaster are really stretched for time, the result being a website that is not updated as often as we would like. If you are even just a little bit html literate, or eager to learn, we'd really appreciate your help. Updates are not difficult to do.

SSA Reunion

We are planning an all inclusive SSA reunion in the summer of 2006. Please let us know if you would like to help plan the events.

Be Creative

What would you like to see an Alumnae Association do? Be creative, make suggestions, have coffee with another SSA alum in your area. If you are in the Chicago or Canon City area... drop in and say "hi" to the sisters. Anything, big or small, you can do to show your support would be appreciated. Also, keep your contact info up-to-date. This won't work if we can't find you:o)
